Teaching Our Music Makers of Tomorrow - Today

> PIPING PARTNERSHIPS

We offer various training and development workshops for piping and drumming with a host of project partners. 2010 saw a remarkable number of young players attend our events in total.

The Aberdeen International Youth Festival annual traditional school, SPLORE, saw us run a special PIPESPLORE. We also host several day and weekends where piping development, technique, musicality and composition are all explored.

The Creative Scotland funded Aberdeenshire Youth Pipes & Drums training network (AYPD) had its debut at the Aberdeenshire Council Homecoming celebrations in November 2009. 2010 was a tremendously successful year with he AYPD launch in the spring at Inverurie Town Hall. Another highlight was a performance by AYPD to open SURVIVAL II, Millennium Child’s hip-hop school’s annual show at the Thainstone Centre in May. A new AYPD logo was also designed by consultation in the Autumn.

Feedback has been extremely encouraging from attendees on the projects we run in regard to format, content and direction with tuition. We believe this makes our workshops and events involving for the players and a generally more enjoyable experience for everyone.

We tailor delivery instruction at all levels and we pride ourselves in adding many years of event management expertise in working in all manner of cultural related projects.

If you, or your organisation, would like to deliver a piping and/or drumming related project, or, seek assistance in the production of a cultural themed youth event we would be interested to hear from you.
